Virtual Open Evening 2020
Dear parents and learners,
I am delighted to welcome you to OSA and present our ‘virtual’ open evening resources that you can watch and read in your own time to give you an insight into life at our school. Whilst this virtual experience is different to the series of events we would usually host to showcase everything we do, I am sure you appreciate that the health and safety of our learners, staff and their families is of paramount importance to us, and I hope you are able to get a sense of our incredible community atmosphere during your online visit.
As a parent of two children myself, I am acutely aware of the importance of choosing the right school. Our virtual resources include a site tour, plus messages from key staff and some of our amazing young people who will explain what they love about the school and what each faculty has to offer here at OSA.
Our school motto is ‘Achieving Success Together’ and this underpins everything we do. We have recruited and retained a brilliant set of teachers who have real passion for their subjects, and a support team who are dedicated, motivated and focused. As part of the Danes Educational Trust, we are committed to developing optimistic, resilient learners and we work together to provide a culture of support, respect and enjoyment.
Our outstanding transition programme will be further enhanced this year to provide extensive support and guidance for our Year 7 learners joining our community at this unique time. We aim to organise open events on site as soon as we can in the spring or summer term, if government guidance confirms that it is appropriate to do so.
I hope that our virtual resources are helpful to you and I encourage you to join us on our social media pages for regular updates on the broad range of opportunities available to our learners.
If you have any queries, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will be happy to assist in any way I can. I wish you all the very best in choosing the right school for you. Yours sincerely, David Bullock, Headteacher
