Wellbeing & Mental Health

We want all our young people to reach their full potential and a significant contributing factor to success and better life chances is mental health. At Onslow St Audrey’s, the wellbeing of our pupils is at the core of everything we do as a school.

We strive for positive wellbeing practices in all that we do, some of these are explicit such as access to an in-house school counsellor and youth mental health first-aiders, to celebrating success and diversity, discussing and signposting. All our young people have access to the PSHE curriculum and super-curriculum, learning about mental health and wellbeing and how to remain resilient.

At our school, we take a holistic approach to wellbeing. Through a therapeutic process, we teach young people to learn from mistakes and repair relationships.

We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health, and from time to time, we might find things difficult.

On these pages, you will find links to useful information to help you and websites where you can get extra help with a variety of aspects of wellbeing and mental health. We will also celebrate success together and remind you of in school and local opportunities.

These pages are aimed at our students; our school staff; parents and our community.
