The Year 10s have been on a week’s work experience placement at various companies during one of two weeks, (week commencing the 12th or 19th of March). Work experience is an opportunity for students to test out prospective careers, learn about the respective industries, network, and gain opportunities. Hopefully these students have done this throughout their placement.
Lucas Poole got to work at Maynard House in Hatfield, a Conservative office and local base of operations. He was able to see and help with a political campaign for local counselors. Lucas said “I got to order leaflets and generally help with promoting the campaign.”
For some, it was a first encounter in the world of work and an eye-opening experience. Thank you to Mrs Manley for advising the students and organising the weeks.
