As you may be aware, we would currently be preparing to host our annual sports day, however due to the current circumstances and social distancing it cannot go ahead.

BUT WE WILL NOT BE DETERRED!

In line with National Sports Week, 22nd June – 26th June, we are holding a Virtual Sports Event!  It is open to all students, staff and parents in an attempt to get fit, earn house points, claim bragging rights and potentially pick up an award!

There are 8 different challenges and you can claim house points for completing each individual challenge and extra points for completing all 8!

Make sure you submit your challenge by clicking the relevent links on the Submit Challenge tab!

Challenge #1 – Marathon

Task: Walk, jog or run any distance you like and time yourself. Capture a screenshot of the time and distance. The house with the greatest overall distance wins but individuals with the best stats will gain bonus points.

Challenge #2 –
Stay Balanced!

Task: Try this balance challenge! Balance on one leg on your tiptoes for as long as possible. The house with the greatest over all time wins but the individual with the best time will gain bonus points!

Challenge #3 –
The Plank

Task: Have a go at this plank challenge. The house with the greatest overall time wins, but the individual with the best effort will gain bonus points.

Challenge #4 –
Keepy-Uppies

Task: Try this football juggling challenge! The house with the greatest number of overall touches wins, but the individual with the best effort will gain bonus points!

Challenge #5 –
Push Yourself!

Task: Push yourself to the limit with this press-up challenge. How many can you complete in 30 seconds? The house with the greatest overall number wins, but the individual with the most push-ups will gain bonus points.

Challenge #6 –
Sit up!

Task: Sit up and take note of this challenge! How many sit-ups an you complete in 30 seconds? The house with the greatest overall number wins, but the individual with the most sit-ups will gain bonus points!

Challenge #7 –
Co-ordinate!

Task: Try this co-ordination challenge! How many times can you throw the ball against a wall and catch it in 30 seconds? The house with the greatest overall number wins, the individual with the best effort will gain bonus points!

Challenge #8 –
Inspire Us!

Task: Send in a picture or video of you completing an activity/sport/workout (from anytime)! The most inspiring pictures/videos win! This could be you winning a cup final or cheerleading your way to victory!

More importantly, during National Sports Week is it important that we are all active!

As adults we should be getting a minimum of 30 minutes moderate to vigorous exercise, five times a week!
