We were delighted to welcome, on behalf of local charity Kaleidoscope, delegates from an EU Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project entitled: Innovative Quality Mentoring for (Social) Inclusion. Around 30 international partners from Turkey, Northern Ireland, Slovakia and Romania, as well as the UK, visited our school to learn about our programmes and strategies for inclusion.
Our visitors toured the school with Mr Harpham and then joined him for an interactive talk on how OSA supports social inclusion. The delegates then met Mr Fuller and the inclusion team, including our Year Managers, to learn about best practice in this field.
As well as sharing best practice, the visit focused on enabling intercultural learning opportunities for our school and our students. Many of the delegates were teachers and Mr Harpham was able to discuss further learning opportunities with one, a Romanian Headteacher.
We were delighted to support Kaleidoscope and this marvelous international inclusion project and we look forward to sharing the benefits of our international links with our students.
