Onslow St Audrey Covid 19 Statement for University Admissions

Due to Covid19 and government regulations, Onslow St Audrey’s School was closed to all Year 12 students from 23rd March 2020 with teaching via remote learning only until June 15th.  Teachers set work and resources to all students via email at their normal lesson time each day. No ‘live’ lessons took place but work set continued to follow the subject specifications and teachers were available throughout for support and regular feedback.  Weekly pastoral ‘check-ins’ took place by email to ensure the welfare of all the students and vulnerable learners were contacted more personally, usually by telephone. A number of students did not have a laptop at home so were loaned one from school to allow all students to continue to access the curriculum.

From the 15th June, we provided a blended learning approach with students continuing to access new content from home via email but also the majority returning to school to access a 90-minute lesson per subject each week with a specialist.

Formal internal examinations were not completed although an end of year assessment was carried out allowing progress to be assessed.
