During the enrichment week at the end of the summer term students have had lots of interesting activities laid on, one being Geography and Our Town. We spent the morning thinking about how we could judge Hatfield as a place to live, students devised their own questionnaires to deepen their observational skills of the place we live in. We then walked through town making our own judgments and reflecting on our findings. We also explored Stream Woods and how the land has been shaped by the stream. It was a great day and students got really involved.
“I enjoyed collecting data about Hatfield, and understanding more about different areas of it” Georgiana
“I enjoyed being the ‘tour guide’ and leading the group through the town, I enjoyed everything today, it was interesting to gain a different perspective on Hatfield” George
“I liked seeing different areas, I didn’t like getting my foot wet!” Aaron
“I enjoyed everything, but in particular Stream Woods as it was nice to be away from the urban environment, I also enjoyed jumping!” Radek
“I enjoyed everything today, it was fun to explore different places” Daniel
“I liked being able to write our own questions while going to different places in Hatfield, it made me focus on specific things I would not have noticed before” Madison
Well done year 10, and thank you Euan for your support.
