Curriculum Overview 2015/2016
The Public Services delivery team includes highly experienced teaching staff and external providers from professional bodies such as the Police, Royal Air Force, Red Cross, Ambulance Service, Local Primary Schools and Outdoor Adventure and Leisure Centres.
Learning will be varied and creative with an emphasis on practical skills, work experience, teamwork and fitness. Assessment is via 100% coursework-based projects and there are no exams.
Visits will be made to various organisations and guest speakers will be invited to talk about their career experiences.
Students will have the opportunity to achieve additional qualifications such as First Aid, Duke of Edinburgh, National Governing Body Awards in Sporting Activities and Leadership Awards, all of which make a candidate stand out when seeking employment or applying to university.
Students joining the course will be expected to wear the public services uniform that is available to purchase from Onslow St Audrey’s School. Students will need to contribute approximately £200 over the two year course to take part in the additional activities.
