The Inclusion Department supports the most vulnerable students of the school who would otherwise fail to engage in the learning process at the school or elsewhere at this particular point in their lives.
We provide an environment where students can remain engaged at school and develop individual programmes to support social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs enabling students to overcome these difficulties.
The Inclusion department is an integral part of the school and has received excellent feedback from both Ofsted and Hertfordshire County Council:
‘The school is very inclusive and deals well with the small number of students who arrive with significant behavioural difficulties. There are effective systems for supporting students and dealing with any incidents of poor behaviour.’
Ofsted inspection report July 2013.
‘This is an outstanding provision, based securely on a clearly articulated and cohesive whole school vision, for meeting the needs of vulnerable students. Highly effective staff lead the work and model good practice. The caring ethos and restorative culture of the school is reflected in its principles and clear context of behaviour change and empowerment’.
